Atlanta-based apartment builder Wood Partners is breaking ground on more than 500 rental units in two new North Texas projects.

The Alta Denton Station rental community will include 248 apartments in a project that includes a community clubhouse, fitness center, coworking space and areas for social gatherings. The Denton project will open in the Fall of 2022.

And the Alta Landing apartments will have 270 rental units in the U.S. Highway 287 corridor south of Fort Worth in Kennedale. The project will open next year with a fitness facility, a courtyard with outdoor seating and grilling areas and a dog park.

“Positioned in two of Dallas-Fort Worth’s most sought after areas, Alta Denton Station and Alta Landing will offer residents affordable, Class A accommodations and convenient access to all that the city has to offer, without the added hassles that accompany high-density living,” Wood Partners’ Ryan Miller said in a statement. “Residents will be able to easily make their way to nearby shopping, dining, and entertainment, as well as several of the city’s top employers and universities.”

Wood Partners has started 1,100 D-FW area apartments this year.

Along with the new Denton and Kennedale projects, the builder has new rental communities on the way in Allen’s The Farm mixed-use development and in Aubrey in Denton County.

Wood Partners has a track record of building multiple North Texas apartment projects. The company owns 70 properties nationwide more than 20,000 homes.

Dallas-Fort Worth leads the U.S. in apartment construction with more than 38,500 units on the way.
