A McKinney-based tech firm plans to double its workforce with an office expansion.

Software company Falkon Technologies is adding another 3,000 square feet to its headquarters at 2150 S. Central Expressway.

The company will use the expanded offices to add 20 high-tech jobs over the next three years.

The headquarters addition was partly funded with a grant from the McKinney Economic Development Corp.’s Innovation Fund.

“McKinney has been a great place for us to grow our business since we moved here in 2019,” Riley Fowle, CEO of Falkon Technologies, said in a statement. “Now to be expanding our team to build out our new entity is exactly what we’ve wanted to do, and we look forward to scaling the business and continuing to bring tech jobs to McKinney.”

Falkon Technologies plans to add 20 employees with average salaries of $85,000.

Founded in 1998, Falkon Technologies has served 250 clients with web apps, mobile apps and custom business software.

“Falkon has an incredible track record & clientele, and we’re happy to help them scale in McKinney,” Danny Chavez, senior vice president of the McKinney Economic Development Corp., said in a statement. “It’s been incredible to see the positive response to the innovation fund throughout the pandemic and that continuing as things are starting to open up again.”
