USAA Real Estate Co., the real estate arm of the San Antonio-based insurance giant, has just nabbed a multimillion-dollar Washington, D.C. property. The 540,000-square-foot Sentinel Square III building, located within walking distance of the U.S. Capitol and Union Station, was sold to an “affiliate of USAA Real Estate Co.” in a December 8 deal, the Washington Business Journal reports

USAA Real Estate reportedly purchased the building at 45 L Street NE from MetLife Investment Management for $305 million, according to a special warranty deed obtained by the WBJ. At this price, the deal would be among the biggest real estate transactions in the nation’s capital this year.
